This Privacy Policy explains how Atelier Flow Lab ("we", "us") handles your personal information in Ariadne: Tarot Card Games & Readings, including the web version and the iOS and Android apps (the "Service"). We are the controller of the personal information processed in the Service.

1. Information We Collect

(1) Information collected automatically

  • A device identifier issued for each device
  • OS and browser type and version, app version, and IP address
  • How you use the Service (games played, number of readings, your current plan, etc.)
  • Information obtained through cookies and similar technologies (Section 6)
  • Advertising identifier (on iOS, only if you allow tracking)
  • Diagnostic information when the app crashes

(2) Information you provide

  • When you sign in with Google or Apple: email address, display name, and profile image URL
  • Topics, questions, and chat messages you enter in readings
  • The content of your inquiries

(3) Payment information

Card numbers and other payment details are processed directly by Stripe on the web and by the App Store or Google Play in the apps. We never receive or store your card number. We only receive your purchase status, such as the plan, purchase date, and expiry date (through RevenueCat).

2. How We Use Information and Legal Bases

  • Providing the Service (identifying your account, providing games and readings, saving your history)
  • Providing paid plans and managing payments and subscriptions
  • Generating AI responses
  • Analyzing usage, detecting bugs, and improving the Service
  • Showing ads on free plans
  • Preventing abuse and responding to inquiries

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK, and similar jurisdictions, we rely on the following legal bases depending on the purpose: performance of a contract (providing the Service and billing), our legitimate interests (detecting bugs, preventing abuse, improving the Service), your consent (cookies, analytics, and ads), and compliance with legal obligations. You can withdraw your consent at any time.

3. Sharing with Service Providers

We do not provide your personal information to third parties except:

  • With your consent
  • When required by law
  • When necessary to protect life, body, or property
  • When we entrust processing to the following service providers to the extent necessary to provide the Service

The topics and questions you enter in readings are sent to one of the AI providers above to generate a response, and are processed under that provider's policies. Please do not enter information that identifies you, such as your name or contact details.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

4. International Transfers

Many of the service providers above are located outside Japan, including in the United States, and your information may be processed and stored on servers outside your country. We handle such information under the safeguards each provider has in place.

5. Retention

  • Account information and reading history are kept until your account is deleted.
  • When you delete your account, related information is deleted promptly, except for information we are required by law to keep (such as transaction records), which we keep only as long as required.
  • If you use the Service without signing in, we only keep usage information linked to a device identifier and do not collect information that identifies you.

6. Cookies, Analytics, and Ads

(1) Web

  • We use strictly necessary cookies, for example to keep you signed in.
  • We use cookies for usage analytics with Google Analytics and, on free plans, for ads with Google AdSense.
  • For visitors from the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, analytics and advertising cookies are not used until you give consent. You can change your choice at any time from the consent screen.

(2) Apps

  • We collect usage and crash information with Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics.
  • Free plans show ads from Google AdMob. On iOS, the advertising identifier is only used if you allow tracking.
  • In the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland, we ask for your consent for ads. You can change your choice from Ad privacy settings in Settings.

You can turn off personalized ads in Google Ad Settings and opt out of Google Analytics with the opt-out browser add-on.

7. Your Rights

You may ask us to:

  • Access or correct your personal information
  • Delete your personal information (you can delete your account from Settings in the app or on the web)
  • Stop or restrict processing, or withdraw your consent
  • Provide your information in a machine-readable format (data portability)

If you live in the EEA or the UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. Residents of California and other U.S. states may exercise the rights granted by their state privacy laws in the same way, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. If you are 13 or older but below the age at which your country or region requires parental consent, please use the Service with your parent's or guardian's consent. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

Communications are encrypted (HTTPS), and information is stored on servers with restricted access. We also supervise our service providers as necessary and appropriate.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. We will notify you in the Service or on this page of any significant changes.
